Release v3.2 - Major UI Changes + More

Credits to beta tester & pro gamer Benschock for most of these changes... 

Featuring vastly improved UI, much smoother transition from final boss to ending and a lot more!!!

Comprehensive Breakdown

UI changes

  • Mouse scrolling in menus now actually work due to increasing sensitivity by... 100X... (Credits Benschock)
  • Station's finish crafting key changed to escape from enter to make it consistent with all the other menus in the station. (Credits Benschock)
  • The game now shows a subtle red playfield limit indicator when a player is near the edges of the play field. (Credits to Benschock)
  • Due to the playfield change, I also made most of the rest of the UI elements that can overlap with the player and playfield indicator much smaller. This is absolutely overdue.
  • Made devastator's charge text bigger and also improved the UI for the devastator charge. 
  • Made the enemy health bar look sharper.

UI changes in action:

Enemy Rebalancing / Tweaks.

  • Changed the Big Boy boss' crosshairs to seem more like an attack path indicator than an actual attack. Changed the crosshairs from opaque red to translucent white alongside the sprites. (Credits to Benschock)
  • Sector 9 UFOs have their low HP damage reduction returned. Up to 4 times less damage when at 1 HP. As a result, their overall HP has been lowered in casual and normal difficulty by around  20%.

Other fixes

  • The transition from defeating the final boss to the winning cutscene is no longer abrupt and rushed. (Credits to Benschock)
  • Station finish crafting hotkey changed to esc to be more consistent with other station controls for going back a menu. (Credits to Benschock)

Bug Fixes

  • Bug Fixed: Vermishock's HP value doesn't show when HP value display is enabled.
  • Bug Fixed: Vermishock's beam starts out yellow even on phases it's not supposed to.
